Normally, our usual excellent two course at Worthing Indoor Bowls Club would be followed by our AGM. However, the pandemic put paid to those plans, so no lunch and a written AGM
The aim of an AGM includes an opportunity for members to ask any questions relating to the club and also make suggestions to increase the social enjoyment of membership.
The new President is also elected at this meeting, as are members of the committee.
Annual membership fees (still only £15) are normally payable, by cheque, prior to the lunch.
We look forward to seeing our members and having a lively AGM - but probably not until 2022!

We looked forward to enjoying a splendid lunch with our partners and friends at our usual venue of Worthing Indoor Bowls Club.
There should have been a drink on arrival with background music played on a keyboard by Keith Venn who proved to be very popular in the previous year.
Keith was planning to join us for an excellent lunch, followed by our grand raffle. The afternoon would have concluded with Keith playing a selection of "Golden Oldies" and, no doubt, many of us would have joined in with our lubricated vocal chords.
Should have been another very enjoyable get together.
We were going to be leaving South Ferring at 9.00 a.m. and travel by coach to Southsea. arriving about 11.00 a.m. to be met by the pilot of the Hovercraft. The pilot intended to demonstrate the craft's capabilities and provide an on board commentary as we passed various forts in the sea on our way to the Isle of Wight. This would have been a private charter and the Hovercraft would have deflated and inflated whilst we were on the sea. On arrival at Ryde there was going to be a two course lunch followed by coffee and mints, after which free time to explore the town was the order of the day before our return to Southsea and our coach. We anticipated arriving back about 6.30 p.m.

Once again, our plans to have our Christmas lunch with our partners and friends were scuppered. Our special guest speaker had been booked and the location reserved! But covid had other ideas!
